  Mekhail Sarofiem, ESQ

  Firm Founder & Partner

  Mekhail E. Sarofiem, Esq., spearheaded the development of his current practice in an effort to provide clients compassionate, diligent, effective, and zealous legal services. Mekhail practices in the areas of Civil Litigation – Personal Injury and Criminal Defense. Mekhail has dedicated his career and life’s work to fighting for both injury victims and the wrongly accused. Whether it’s a Goliath insurance company denying the claims of the injured or the State’s efforts in pursuing convictions, Mekhail provides a voice and is a pillar of hope for his clients. Mekhail expressed that the law is “both the cornerstone and the foundational building block, which lies at the heart of our great nation. The law of the United States provides for life, liberty, and happiness for all Americans,” and that “having the opportunity to advance these principles through diligent advocacy on behalf of my clients is a humbling privilege.” He has a diversified legal background which has translated into better results for his clients. Mekhail began his legal career as a legal intern at Hudson County Superior Court – Civil division. While in law school, he was selected for a prestigious and highly competitive placement at the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. There, Mekhail held the position of Judicial Intern to the Honorable Michael A. Shipp, United States District Judge. During his time at the Federal United States District Court, Mekhail conducted extensive legal research, drafted proposed opinions, and orders, addressing a variety of substantive and procedural federal issues. In addition, Mekhail was a Graduate Teaching Consultant at Seton Hall University School of Law – Institute for Pre-Legal Studies Program under the supervision of Professor Brenda Saunders where he mentored aspiring law students. Mekhail received his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University School of Law and Bachelor of Arts from Montclair State University. Mekhail, is admitted to practice law in the state of New Jersey including the Superior Courts of New Jersey, as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association, Hudson County Bar Association, and the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey. Mekhail is the recipient of the Legal Studies Gavel Award from Montclair State University, an award bestowed upon a select student as a top legal prospect, for his dedication and commitment in the pursuit of higher education. He is also the recipient of the Best Oralist Petitioner Award from Seton Hall School of Law – Institute for Pre-Legal Studies. Mekhail is the eldest of six children and thoroughly enjoys spending quality time with his family. He credits his parents for instilling in him the values of hard work and perseverance. He is an avid traveler and loves to explore new cities, states, and countries. Mekhail, a former competitive athlete, is a huge sports fan –his favorite teams are the Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Mavericks.   Kerollos Y. Antoun, co-founder and Partner at Sarofiem & Antoun, dedicates his practice to obtaining justice for injury victims and those who are accused of crimes. Mr. Antoun provides a vast range of knowledge and compassion to his clients. He believes strongly in being a zealous advocate for his clients, no matter what the circumstances may be. Whether he is representing a personal injury victim or defending a criminal case, Kero does not take the first offer. His negotiation skills have allowed him to succeed in private practice. Driven by results, he has successfully litigated cases from start to finish and has saved the freedom of many who have been wrongfully accused. He has been selected for inclusion into the Top Attorneys of North America, 2020-2021 Edition and named a Super Lawyers Rising Star, a distinction that only 2.5% of attorneys receive. Kero is admitted to the New Jersey Bar and the United States District Court of New Jersey. A lifelong native of New Jersey, he obtained his Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School – Newark, and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Rutgers University-New Brunswick. He is currently a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Hudson County Bar Association, Middlesex County Bar Association, and Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey. While in law school, Kero was the Clinical Associate Supervisor at the Rutgers Law School Community and Transactional Clinic. There, he oversaw and supervised a group of twenty student attorneys. Prior to starting his own practice, Kero served as a judicial extern with the Honorable Martha T. Royster, J.S.C., obtaining invaluable experience in the field of criminal law. Additionally, Mr. Antoun was a legal intern at Mazraani & Liguori, LLP and a law clerk at Clark Law Firm, P.C., obtaining vast knowledge and experience in the fields of Personal Injury and Criminal Defense. Coming from a diverse background, Kero is an avid traveler. He loves to experience new cultures and environments. He has visited countries that include Italy, Spain, Egypt, Japan, etc. Additionally, Kero mentors college and law students. He is a firm believer in giving back to his community.
